[Sorry folks, I posted this, but didn't "publish" it, so it just sat here yesterday.]
In case anyone wants to see the notes for Inheritance, here are a couple of links to take a look at. They're all derivitive of my mindmap outline for the book. Note, however, that by looking, you're going straight into my brain and it may be messy. Additionally, all of the spoilers that could possibly exist at this point are in there and if you don't want to know what happens, you probably should just go and read the manuscript as it unfolds.

The first day of working on Inheritance is nearly over. So far, I think it's going well and I'm on track for wordcount. The first pages are available for your perusal. The HTML version will always be the most up to date, with any other versions derived from that one.
The biggest difficulty so far has been in naming all of these characters that are needed to get going. I had most of the character ideas themselves over the last few weeks, but now they all need names. As a result, several were named quickly to get going, so they may change as I go forward. Beyond the character naming, I've got the two primary timelines and plot lines started.
Some time tomorrow or Thursday, I'll put up my mindmap and notes for those who are interested in seeing where this thing is going or want to help out with answering the outstanding questions that need to be resolved, etc. I think some of the more ritual Catholic dialog is going to need some serious help, but I wanted to push through it anyway because it's key to the story going forward.

If this is your first visit here, you haven't heard me ramble on endlessly about Nanowrimo. It's a worldwide challenge where thousands of insane people attempt to write a novel between November 1 and November 30. So, if you've looked at your calendar today, you'll notice that I'm smack in the middle of that particular process. As such, if you need me for anything, my response time as well as any new content for this site will come pretty much only betwen pages. If you'd like to see what's going on with the book itself, visit the project page: Inheritance.

I'm heading to bed for the night, nervous about tomorrow morning. I'm hoping the first few hours of writing set a good pace and that the notes I made don't mess with the process, but help and keep things moving. I've got that nervious feeling in the pit of my stomach that's a combination of apprehension and excitement. I'm not sure I'm going to sleep much tonight. So, you may see pages posted just after midnight as I'm only a few hours from being able to start without breaking the rules. I've got the novel page set up to always display the latest saved pages. I'll upload whenever I close the editor and the refresh date should show right on the manuscript. Maybe I'll just go read some of "No Plot, No Problem" to keep my mind busy, but still keep in the mood. If I do fall asleep, I'll "see" you all at 5:00 tomorrow.

Well, it is coming up fast. Which makes it a good thing that I'm actually itching to get writing. Of course that may all completely disappear by noon on Tuesday after I've written a couple of pages, but for now, I've got the nervous butterflies of excitement in my gut.
