First is the beta design I'm almost ready to flip live on the site. I've been using the Benevolence theme, which is fine for what it is, but it isn't my design. So, I've been tinkering with my own for a couple of months now. I'm actually reaching a point where I don't want to wretch when I look at it, which means it might be fit for consumption shortly. You can preview it live using the theme preview. If you have any feedback or suggestions for improvement before I flip the switch, either post a comment or :letmeknow:.
You may also have noticed the little icon in the top right hand corner of this site that I added recently. It's currently set up to send me email when you click on it.
Once I had added it (and went through 3-4 iterations), I started thinking about how it may fit with something I've been trying to figure out for a while. I want to get the cartoon image out there and start branding myself a bit. I've paid for a few ads, but don't have a huge budget for this site to do much of that. So, I'm trying to get an ad similar to the one in the corner (except pointing to this site) out there by other means.
I've also had people asking for link exchanges (without any sort of story attached) and I'm reluctant to add them "just because. So, if you'd like to have a link in my "Links" section on the left, I'd like for you to put my little ad on your site in exchange. Yes, mine will be a bit more prominant, but I do get some decent traffic here and am building it quickly likely making it a fair exchange.
