Sunday is the highest holy day on my personal calendar. It's the 25 hour day. The day where even getting up at 5am comes an hour later. It's a glorious thing, though it only barely manages to edge out Thanksgiving. 2 holidays within a few weeks of each other that bring us all together to celebrate the 2 great advances in human history: extra leisure time to sleep and abundant food. Let's celebrate. The virtual pumpkin cheesecake's on me!

I look forward to the day when my young daughter learns what "changing the clock" means. Until then, I'll be up when she thinks it's 530A. Enjoy your sleep - I look forward to joining you in a few years.

Well, for all my bravado, rest assured that Rowdy will begin crying for his breakfast at precisely 4:52 on the old time tomorrow morning, 8 minutes before my alarm usually goes off. I've had to start resorting to celebrating the extra hour awake instead of sleeping the last while, but it's still extra time.
