I finally went and saw Spider-man 2 this weekend (as one of the first
weekends since March where we didn't have home improvement projects to
do) and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it much more than the first one. I
personally prefer the villain better than the Green Goblin. Something
about the GG just struck me as very "power rangers" and didn't feel right
with the rest of the first movie. At any rate, it's worth checking out if
you've procrastinated or just not been interested thus far.
I was also happy to see that Ebert and Roeper liked the Bourne Supremacy.
I've been looking forward to that movie ever since I walked out of the
Bourne Identity in the theater. However, given how often sequels suck, I
was trying to temper my enthusiasm to avoid disappointment. However, with
both of them enthusiastically indicating that they hope this will be a
long series, I can stop holding back and get excited to see it. I really
like the tone that the series (in the 1 movie we've seen) sets. It's James
Bond without the cocky attitude, martinis and tuxes. I think, other than
Kill Bill Vol 2, this is the movie I've most looked forward to this year.

For those looking for more on what exactly HTML behaviors *are*, here's a link to a decent tutorial.

HTML Behaviors and the HTC files that go along with them haven't been part
of my web development arsenal in the past because they were IE only. Being
IE only usually kicks something out of my toolbox pretty quickly. Then, as
I was looking through the rest of the site of the guy who made the "IE7"
hack to make IE more standards compliant, I noticed that he has a
href="http://dean.edwards.name/moz-behaviors/">wrapper to enable
behaviors in Mozilla. It looks pretty cool and opens that particular area
of development up again. Given some of the stuff I'm trying to do with
PHUI (to make it more "Windows-like"), the ability to redefine HTML
elements in very specific ways is exciting. The fact that that work
doesn't need to go to waste (as it can be used on regular sites with
Mozilla/IE compatibility) makes it a winner in my book. We'll see once I
start working with them. Who knows, I may be here tomorrow proclaiming
behaviors as the work of the devil.

Well, it turns out that the professional version of Friendster that I've
been talking about/looking for already exists. Never one to re-invent the
wheel, I've signed up at LinkedIn.
It looks like it pretty much implements all of the features I'd like to
see in a "social" network designed around people's professional lives.
They have different terminology, but most of the features I'd thought of
are already there and work. I still need to enter all of my "experience"
and build my profile, but the rest of the information should be there
soon.

USB storage watches have been a part of geeky shopping sites for a while,
but they all have that plastic/metal look to them, which I'm not entirely
fond of. What I'd always been looking for was a USB watch that doesn't
*look* like a USB watch. I finally
href="http://store.yahoo.com/meritline/meritline-rist-watch-128-mb-ml-1397-b.html">found
one last night. It comes with a nice brown leather strap and doesn't
have the USB dongle attached to the wristband like some of them do. Also,
since the face is silver/white, you could easily get a black band instead.
I'll probably get one after I move (no toys until then).
