Spider-man 2
I finally went and saw Spider-man 2 this weekend (as one of the first
weekends since March where we didn't have home improvement projects to
do) and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it much more than the first one. I
personally prefer the villain better than the Green Goblin. Something
about the GG just struck me as very "power rangers" and didn't feel right
with the rest of the first movie. At any rate, it's worth checking out if
you've procrastinated or just not been interested thus far.
I was also happy to see that Ebert and Roeper liked the Bourne Supremacy.
I've been looking forward to that movie ever since I walked out of the
Bourne Identity in the theater. However, given how often sequels suck, I
was trying to temper my enthusiasm to avoid disappointment. However, with
both of them enthusiastically indicating that they hope this will be a
long series, I can stop holding back and get excited to see it. I really
like the tone that the series (in the 1 movie we've seen) sets. It's James
Bond without the cocky attitude, martinis and tuxes. I think, other than
Kill Bill Vol 2, this is the movie I've most looked forward to this year.
